A statement in the above article is incorrect. We stated (pp. 61, 64) that the mean effect size for crime outcomes was larger for programs in which the subject population was younger than for programs in which the subjects were older. Table 4, however, shows a positive relationship between age and the effect size for crime. The information in the table is correct. It should be noted that, within the context of this meta-analysis, age is a program-level, rather than an individual-level, variable. Thus, the finding should not be taken to mean that older clients have better crime outcomes than younger clients. Rather, it should be interpreted to mean that programs with older clients, on average, have somewhat better crime outcomes than programs with younger clients on average.
